Favorite Sewing Blogs

These are my favorite sewing blogs. I've lurked on these pages, reading, but not commenting for months, but they have all taught me so much.

Esther - FromTheSticks -  I first met Esther when she and I were in the same get-ready-for-prom-group at the end of my senior year of high school. Esther made her own prom dress and it was, and is still, one of the most beautiful handmade things I've ever seen. After meeting her I stalked found her on the internet and starting reading her blog. I love following her progress as a fashion design student at SCAD and enjoy her gorgeous photography and garments. Esther and her blog are truly the impetus for my interest in sewing.

Tilly And The Buttons - My IRL sewing friend Rae says she's impressed with how well I finish everything.  I owe a great amount of this to Tilly's blog. Through her learning to sew series, I have established a great foundation focused on professional finishings and construction. Her patterns, as well as all of her photography, are all gorgeous. Highly recommend her blog, and her book, for anyone looking to begin sewing.

Diary of a Chain Stitcher - Fiona's garments are always beautiful. I love her style so much and I am always so impressed with everything she makes. Her directory of indie pattern designers is one of the most helpful resources on the web.

Scruffy Badger Time - I want to be Winnie when I grow up. Her blog is so funny and I love that she also makes her own running-wear.
